Join Alaric Newcombe for a workshop to refine sitting and supine postures to create pranayama (breath control), dharana (focus) and dhyana (meditation).
Alaric will teach the techniques of bhramari kapalabhati (“skull shining” breath), ujjayi (“victorious” breath), and viloma pranayama (“stop-start” breathing). He’ll also cover digital (or alternate nostril) pranayamas such as pratiloma and anuloma .
This workshop is suitable for those with at least three years of asana practice. Those who have attended previous pranayama workshops with Alaric are encouraged to attend again as we can develop your technique.
Due to its vigorous nature, this workshop is not safe for those who are pregnant or suffering from lung or heart problems or receiving psychiatric treatment. Other dedicated Iyengar yoga pranayama classes may be fine. If you are unsure if this class is appropriate for you, please contact email@example.com
